Let the summer fun begin

Is there anything better then going up the canyon and roasting winnies and SMORES; I think not..

Zoie loved the dirt, fire and her first SMORE (were we suprised, nope)

Thanks Haydn for the great sunday activity...

Birthday Bash

Zoie turned one so we decided to celebrate DISNEY style.. For those of you that know my hubby you know that he LOVES Disneyland (ok we both do) any excuse we can find to go typically we do..

The trip was definitely off to a better start, NO BED BUGS (thanks Marriott)

We spent three days in Disneyland, and 2 days on the beach PERFECT!

Zoie seemed to enjoy both; sand, water and people watching are her favorite things :)

Thanks again Christensen’s and Thompson’s for the GREAT trip

Hope you enjoy the pics (they are more enjoyable then me rambling on about our adventure)

Easter Fun

We had a fantastic EASTER weekend.

It’s amazing the things parents put their children through so we can get some photos to update the blog; I mean to reminisce over when they are all grown up

Saturday we gathered with the Thompson’s for some egg dying, karaoke and dancing (Thanks Fred for showing us your moves; best Easter gift ever)

Sunday we had an egg hunt with the Stanfields. They also had hidden baskets from PaPa and Nanna, which were loaded with toys; Skirt guns, sun and boys are always entertaining.

Truly Disturbing…

So the other day I was cleaning up lunch, I pulled the garbage can out as I typically do while I’m cooking or cleaning up. I got a little sidetracked and started to vacuum up the mess under Zoies highchair when I noticed something was wrong; Zoie was missing from under my feet, she is always right at me feet when I vacuum. I turned around to find my child eating out of the garbage can… WHAT! She had discovered scraps of Haydn’s sandwich, one hand held the crust while the other was full of turkey meat. And her face was COVERED in spicy mustard. As any good mother I ran screaming in disgust “get that out of your mouth” (only now I am wishing I would have run for the camera)

Please don’t think that I am a mother who doesn’t feed my child so she has to rummage through the trash to fill her belly, the kid just honestly LOVES to eat..

Turtle Turtle

A while back we were able to tag along with Haydn on a work trip to San Diego.

I was a little worried since we drove but to my surprise Zoie was great. One might think that a child would tend to sleep on a 12 hour road trip.. NOT OURS but she was so good that it really didn’t matter.

Zoie truly takes after her father, she LOVES the beach, and we couldn’t get her out of the water. We also discovered that she absolutely DETESTS grass

grass, I wanted to get a picture because it was so funny but whenever we even got close to grass her little hands would claw into my arm, she was petrified

We were able to go to the Wild Animal Park, It was fun to watch Zoie’s reactions to the animals.

It’s also good to know that her father is still a kid at heart.. I’m not really sure who makes the better Turtle !

Why do we even buy Zoie toys?

It would appear she would much rather play in the dishwasher, fridge or Dryer…

Here are some pics of her having a ball in the dryer
