Happy Independence Day !!

We did our annual 4th of July celebration, the Kaysville water parade. This year we had the Christensen and Goodrich families join in the fun. I’m not really sure they believed us when we told them that they would be soaked. After the water battle we headed to the princess park for some yummy food and relaxation. The boys were a little warn out after soaking EVERYONE they could, not even the cheerleaders were safe with Mac and Haydn on the loose. I can’t wait to see Fred in action next year rumor has it he is ruthless

That night we headed out to our friends and watched the Riverton fireworks from their backyard… Who says your life stops after you have a child…

Enjoy the pictures of our fun day.

On a side note we took Zoie in for her 2 month check up and our little ziggy piggy weights 12lbs 11oz

One month and loving life

Well I can’t believe that one month has gone by, why didn’t the months I was pregnant seem to go this fast? It’s so fun to watch our little one grow into her personality, what a pill she already is… Not sure how Haydn is ever going to tell her no. She has discovered her little voice and if she is in the mode she will sit and talk, smile and giggle. However when I pull out our camera to catch these precious moments she will immediately stop, did I mention she is a pill...

People are always full of advice, the most common advice I seem to receive is make sure you are sleeping when she naps. What great advice if only my little one would sleep, you may think oh sure like a 6 week old baby doesn’t sleep well mine does not. Even if I am lucky enough to get her to close her little eyes she will be out for like 10 minuets and then be up ready to go. If I could only shower, vacuum and do laundry in 10 minuets I would be set!! It’s almost like she is afraid that she will miss some big exciting event is she falls asleep. Now you may be thinking well if she isn’t napping then she must be a great sleeper at night… oh how I wish that was true!

memorial fun

So we decided to embrace the cold and go to the cabin. Where has all the warm weather gone?? Being the first trip of the summer someone had to be on spider duty, lucky haydn !!

Zoie seemed to enjoy herself, however she seems to do well with all of our little adventures. The boys (haydn and my dad) worked on the cabin while the girls hung out inside sewing (really Zoie and I watched gma nanna)

We did take a walk down to the water; FREEZING!! I was way to big of a wimp to test the temperature, but haydn assures me that it was colder then hose water. I’m sure glad we had a beanie for zoie..

Today was little Zoie’s first bath, she loved it!!!

I was glad to have the little tub, washing her in the sink is still a bit frightening to me. They are quite slippery when they are wet.

Haydn is so delighted to see that he has a little water baby (according to him we will one day live on a beach)

Zoie Anne

The long wait is over… our little Zoie bug is here. She arrived on cinco de mayo, what a birthday to have.. We arrived at the hospital around 12pm on Monday and she came at 6:53pm the labor wasn’t bad, thanks to the epidural.
It’s amazing how fast the week has gone, I have forgotten how I use to spend my days before she came. Except for the sleeping I do remember that.
We have had incredible support from family and friends bringing us meals and holding the little one so I can take a shower, what a process that everyday task has become :)
It is surprising how much she has changed in one week, even her expressions. We find ourselves just laying there watching her, now that is entertainment..
