Fantastic food; fabulous costumes; freighting pumpkins!!

We had our pumpkin carving party last night, what a blast!! Even if I wasn’t in the Carving spirit.

Haydn was out of town, so it was just me and Zoie joining in the festivities… boy it sure was a lot harder to carve a pumpkin when I had a little one to worry about. Thank goodness I had Jane to play with the little Ziggy Piggy.

I ended up carving Bruce from Finding Nemo, both Cassie and erin had to let me know that Disney movie is the WORST… but my pumpkin sure was cute, even if the back was a little rotten.

Thanks again James for coming to the rescue and de-gutting mine

So we did it, we decided it was time to take our little bug to California… Our vacation started off with a delayed flight (that isn’t always the best start to a vacation) but once we were in sunny California all of doubts seemed to disappear, it also helped that our planes name was bippity boppity blue.

The first day Haydn decided it was a beach day; we drove to Crystal Cove near Newport Beach it was so enjoyable to lounge on the beach and watch the boy’s body surf while Zoie with no expression seemed to love the water. That night we hit the Crab Shack for some yummy food, ya know it’s just not the same eating at the one in Utah there isn’t an ocean view.

We headed back to our hotel to get showered and into bed; we had an early morning with Mickey ahead. It was about 11pm when all chaos broke loose; my sister broke into our room stating that they had bed bugs… WHAT!!! So immediately we flip on our lights and sure enough we also had some crawly little critters in our bed one was on Haydn and I took a look at Zoie and there we bugs by her head… needless to say I FREAKED out, ok we all FREAKED out and we checked out.. mind you this is our first night and all of clothing items had been contaminated so it was off to do laundry all night; we couldn’t very well go to our clean hotel rooms with contaminated luggage. Let’s just say it was a very long night, thanks Mom and James for staying up to do the last of the laundry.

The Next morning we were off to experience some Mickey and Minnie fun. We hit California Adventure. Man I sure do love the Tower of Terror and Screamin. It was a little different having a little one along for the fun; we couldn’t just run from ride to ride like we have done in the past. Thanks Mom and Dad for all your help with Zoie.

We were so lucky that Zoie was so good, she experienced her first theme park ride Monsters Inc. She LOVED it; she also went on the Ariel carousal and the new Toy Story ride..

Is there really a happier place then Disneyland?

Day Three we were off to fight the crowds at Disneyland, again Zoie was so good and she can ride anything that doesn’t have a height restriction so we took her on everything we could. After all was said and done her favorite ride was Alice In Wonderland, she loved all of the bright colors…

Kiddie Kandids

So a few weeks back we decided to take Zoie in for some professional pictures. I waited for a day that Haydn would be home thinking things would be a bit easier with 2 parents, boy was I ever wrong! Zoie seemed happy she had a full belly and a 20 min cat nap (that’s super for her) and she was full of smiles and laughs. However once we arrived at kiddie kandids I believe a devil child took over, it was very comical to see my daughter so pissed off, yes she was that mad. So after 3 pictures we decided it was a lost cause plus I am pretty sure the photographer was annoyed (however Haydn believes it was her that irritated zoie so bad)

The next day my mother had come up to help me out with a few things I had explained the picture event, she just had that smile as if to tell me that my daughter was just giving me a little pay back for all of the torture I caused my mother. Zoie was being happy so my mom suggested we try again(I’m not really sure she believed me when I told her how naughty Zoie was) So we were off again to see if we could get better results, sadly it was the exact same result. I’m pretty sure kiddie kandids would be very happy if we would stay away.

Between the two days we did come away with 5 pictures, I guess I could be grateful the process of elimination was easy..

Blessing

We blessed Zoie today, Haydn gave a wonderful blessing. I have to say I am one lucky lady to have such a great man to be my husband and the father of my precious girl. The tears started as soon as the 1st counselor asked the members of the blessing to come forward. I always enjoy when I get to experience the tender side of my hubby

We are so lucky to have such great family members, there were a few who missed the event I wish I had a way to share his blessing, you would have been so proud. The best I can do I share a few photos of the party afterwards...

This event really tuckered out Zoie and her dad they fell fast asleep after everyone had gone

Happy Independence Day !!

We did our annual 4th of July celebration, the Kaysville water parade. This year we had the Christensen and Goodrich families join in the fun. I’m not really sure they believed us when we told them that they would be soaked. After the water battle we headed to the princess park for some yummy food and relaxation. The boys were a little warn out after soaking EVERYONE they could, not even the cheerleaders were safe with Mac and Haydn on the loose. I can’t wait to see Fred in action next year rumor has it he is ruthless

That night we headed out to our friends and watched the Riverton fireworks from their backyard… Who says your life stops after you have a child…

Enjoy the pictures of our fun day.

On a side note we took Zoie in for her 2 month check up and our little ziggy piggy weights 12lbs 11oz
